2025 PG WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Brayden Hassel is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Coconut Creek, FL who attends North Broward Prep. Strong, durable frame with present strength and room to add but the classic catchers build presently. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.12 seconds. Primary position catcher, working from a traditional stance a bit high in his legs and staggering his feet pre-pitch. Moving well with his feet to gain ground and square to throw. Glove work is advanced and the transfer happens in a very timely manner helping with quick release. Compact arm stroke is on point and ripped throws up to 76 mph accurately on the bag for a 1.96 pop-time best. Good spot for this athlete. Reps on the infield as well, showing basic glove work but tended to be a bit late and stabbing. Could be a corner guy with time, making plays and the arm was a big player here reaching velocity of 89 mph across the diamond. RHH working from a narrow, slightly open stance, high handset and an upright barrel to start. Short stride as he moves in to swing and stationary hands pre-pitch. Gets on plane and shows the ability to lift the ball through his uphill finish. Present strength in the hands really getting the bat head going and focuses on the pull side for the most part. Bat head feel can improve but the power is there to be an offensive catcher long term. At his best when in the middle of the field, can really reach the fences foul line to foul line. Stick to watch in the coming months and is a very good student as well. Named to the PG WWBA Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
