Austin Allen is a 2027 3B/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Home School. Medium compact build with some present strength. 7.41 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, arm strength is his best defensive tool, throws from a higher slot with good carry across, fielded the ball cleanly, step by step actions and can quicken his exchange and release, has the base to keep improving. Right handed hitter, starts from an open stance with low and deep hand load, has good hand quickness and gets the barrel out on time, will pull off early at times but has strength at contact and can create carry, has timing inconsistencies to iron out but also has present bat speed and barrel strength. Took a turn on the mound, has a well controlled delivery with good direction down the mound and some lower half drive, clean delivery mechanics with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with good sink and run to go with some downhill angle. Change up had good arm speed and some fading life, also threw a soft curveball with some downer depth when he got on top of them. Good student.
