Drew Timp is a 2025 LHP/1B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Ballwin, MO who attends Kirkwood Sr. Works from a larger frame with long levers and some present strength throughout. Primary left-handed pitcher, operates from a full wind-up delivery with a leg lift tucked just above the belt. Displayed a longer takeaway through the back-side with clean extension prior to working down the slope. Releases the baseball from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball showed plenty of life, ultimately peaking at 81 mph with spin up to 2389 rpm. Changeup had deceptive depth and arm-side fade to it, creating a tough angle for opposing hitters. Curveball was bigger with gradual 1-7 shape; released it early at times. Mixed in a shorter slider as well. Projects for more velocity with added strength. Left-handed hitter, starts in an even base with a low back elbow and low hand set-up. Utilizes an inward toe-tap trigger for timing before working into an uphill bat path. Gets over the back hip well with a clean stride through contact. Creates good strength at impact with leverage to both gaps. Can get rotational at times. Produced consistent contact to the pull-side and middle of the field during his round of batting practice. Recorded an exit velocity of 83 mph. Ran a 7.82 sec sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
