Elijah Sevilla is a 2029 C/RHP/2B with a 5-5 135 lb. frame from Fleming Island, FL who attends Fleming Island. Medium, compact frame with some present athleticism and plenty of room to fill out. Recorded a 7.48 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a sound catch-and-throw skill set. Receives from a side-saddled stance with soft hands and gains ground towards his target quickly. Displayed a quick, direct midline transfer and maintains good posture into release. Recorded accurate throws up o 69 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Incorporates belt high leg lift into balance, while using drop-and-drive lower mechanics down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-70s for the majority of his outing and topped out at 74 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Developing feel for spin with gradual movement to it and tends to slow arm down on it. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open base with a lower hand set, low back elbow and negative toe-tap trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with slightly elongated and uphill swing path, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
