2022 National Underclass West Showcase
Geordie Jones is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Issaquah, WA who attends Eastside Catholic. Features a tall, high-waisted frame with room to add. Primary right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery with tall and fall mechanics. Gets down the mound well. Front side will fly open at times. Flashed quality armspeed within short arm action out of a high 3/4 slot. The fastball sat 78-80 mph with armside run. Has the ability to throw it for strikes often. Paired it with a slider that sat in the upper-60’s. Showed the ability to generate some depth. Also flashed a changeup at 72-74 mph with slight fading action. Creates solid arm speed deception on the pitch. A solid pitching foundation with room to develop. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a square setup with a lower hand setup. Load features a leg kick timing mechanism and hand raise. Contact-first profile for now. Continuing to develop hip and hand speed will allow for balls to be hit with more authority. Ran an 8.33 60-yard dash. Very good student.
