Ezra Yi is a 2022 C/RHP/IF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Louisville, KY who attends Fern Creek Traditional. Medium build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Showed solid receiving skills behind the plate defensively in the games, good lower half mechanics shifting and throwing, made accurate throws with some whippy arm strength. Switch-hitter, much more advanced at present from the right side, line drive swing from a high hand load, can get his hands down and into position earlier. Also pitched, high leg raise delivery with an over the top arm slot, short stride out front with some body lean to let his arm get through. Fastball topped out at 79 mph, drops his arm slot on his curveball. Good student.

Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
