Wes Gomes is a 2027 C/1B, 3B with a proportional 6-2 210 lb. strong frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Vista Murrieta HS. Started off the event clocking a 7.68 60-yard dash. A primary catcher that also profiles as a corner infielder. Gomes showed out with a loud BP round squaring the ball up on a consistent basis shooting the gaps and displaying some pull side power. The bat speed is present and the intent to do damage was evident in the aggressive swing path. Behind the plate, his actions were crisp with the upper and lower half working in sync to delivery the ball accurately to second base (2.04 pop) with carry and zip. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
