Maxwell Salas is a 2024 RHP/MIF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Zeeland, MI who attends Zeeland East. Recorded a 7.71 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame and thick build. Primary right-handed pitcher with a full wind up into a belt high leg lift, utilizes tall and fall lower half mechanics. Long and offline arm action that comes through clean, attacks the zone with great command of all four quadrants. Throws a two-seam fastball with heavy arm side run and sinking action, flashed good depth. Has potential to be a big swing and miss pitch for him. Also featured a curveball and a fading changeup that he keeps the same arm speed with. Showed impressive pitchability during his outing. Secondary middle infielder with an aggressive approach, fields the ball out front with two hands and transfers into a long release. Has some feel for the glove with present arm strength, shows developing lateral agility at present. Right-handed hitter with a narrow and even stance, utilizes a high hand and back elbow set and a hanging leg lift trigger. Tends to fall onto the front side, showed a middle to opposite field approach. Rotational swing with some length to it, has a very low launch with downward entry into the hitting zone. Great student. Named to the 2022 Great Lakes Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
