Jean Verdejo is a 2026 C/1B/3B with a 5-8 190 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Sunshine State Elite Academy. Medium, compact frame with some strength throughout and plenty of room to fill out. Recorded a 7.33 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary catcher that received from a low, slightly side-saddle stance with soft hands and fairly direct mid-line transfers. Gains ground quickly out of the crouch and works into the throwing position with longer actions. Recorded developing arm strength up to 67 mph from behind the plate during drills. Secondary corner infielder with deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process. Showed some range to either side, a deeper funnel to field and works uphill into release. Used a longer arm action to recorded throws up to 76 mph across the diamond. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout as well, where he displayed similar deliberate footwork throughout and developing arm strength up to 75 mph during drills. Will continue to improve with proper mechanical refinements and additional strength. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a flat, tight hand start and small stride forward into contact. Rotational lower half mechanics with some separation into launch, developing feel for the barrel and some strength in his hands. Displayed occasional line drive impact to the middle and pullside of the field when on-time, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and physical maturity.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
