Elijah Gassett is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Strake Jesuit College Prep. Good size and physical projection with length in the frame. Ran a 7.11 second 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, clean and athletic mover with balance and good funnel, longer arm stroke and good arm strength right now, easy to fit in the outfield. Plays first base too, under control around the bag and good hands, comfortable on the move and arm showed well. Pitches too, full three pitch mix with some deception to a three-quarters release, hides it well and then gets across his front side; up to 79 with the fastball, good life to it, looser breaking ball with good foundation and sells a changeup well. Left-handed hitter, narrow and open start, gets wide and moves in on time, solid bat speed right now, simple approach and works to get the barrel out to produce good pull side impact. Named to 2023 13/14 Sunshine South Top Prospect List.
