Carter Beck is a 2027 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Lexington, NC who attends North Davidson. Long, lean frame as a young athlete with some wiry strength and all sorts of time to add. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.42 seconds. Primary position IF, creating good angles and has a feel for the clay. Solid glove work with emerging overall actions here. Clean transfer to nice arm path and high level arm strength. Accurate feeds across the diamond up to 84 mph. Secondary RHP, using the full windup from the middle of the rubber to belt high leg lift. Quick cadence, hand break at the belly before accelerating through a high 3/4 arm angle. Shows some loose actions and repeats as he showed a FB up to 82 mph riding through the zone and beating barrels. Low-70s SL that is still developing. LHH starting narrow and upright with good handset and small stride to get going. Develops excellent hand speed with relative ease and swing with intent to do damage. Flashed power to the pull side and really showed out in games with several extra base hits through the oppo gap. Does it all on the field well and is a legit two-way prospect.
