Luke Blas is a 2022 C/OF with a 5-5 145 lb. frame from Pendleton, NY who attends Starpoint. Developing slender build that stands to drastically improve as he continues to progress. Primary catcher, sets up in a conventional crouch, soft hands behind the dish, clean actions through his transfer. Replaces feet well on his throws down to the second base bag. Arm strength will develop nicely alongside his build. Posted a 2.00 second pop time in the catching workouts. From the outfield, fields it cleanly, shows some aggressiveness on his reads. Low accurate throws to all bags. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a toe tap trigger. Compact stroke with good bat speed for his build, flat line drive barrel path. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
