2022 Southeast Prospect Showcase
Kameron Scott is a 2025 2B/SS with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Decatur, GA who attends Southwest Dekalb. Recorded a 6.93 second 60-yard dash time. Primary middle infielder with a medium frame with slender build. Showed solid footwork working to both sides, fielded the ball out front with good glove presentation and a solid arm, up to 73 mph across the diamond. Has good lateral movements with athletic actions and feel for the leather. Left-handed hitter with a wide base and slightly open stance. Loads into the back hip and creates barrel lag through the zone with torque. Direct, level bat path through the zone with strength to the pull side. Hit one off the right field fence in the round. Secondary right-handed pitcher, creates rhythm in the delivery with a side step into a belt high lift to balance, clean arm action in the back to a high three-quarters release point. Struggled with command a little in the outing but has some arm talent. Fastball had some arm-side life up to 71 mph (1777 RPM) and curveball with downer shape was flashed in the upper-50s (1901 RPM). Excellent student.
