Shane Cruz is a 2023 RHP/2B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Rockwall, TX who attends Rockwall. Cruz works from a medium athletic build with additional room to fill out and add strength. Exclusively from his primary spot on the bump, the RHP showcased tons of downhill extension releasing from a loose 3/4 slot that ultimately saw velocity up to 82 mph. Cruz effectively kept the front shoulder closed and hid the ball well from hitters, mixing a banger 11-5 curveball with spin in the 2400 rpm range. Overall, the righty repeated the operation well and pitched to contact with the ability to generate swing and miss in the arsenal. Has additional room to see a velo bump in the future. Ran a 7.21 sixty yard dash. Good student.
