Brax McBryde is a 2027 OF/RHP, 2B with a 5-7 115 lb. frame from Cedartown, GA who attends Rockmart. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout and develop physically moving forward. Ran a 7.96 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and carries momentum through release, short arm action and works to a lower slot on throws, takes shorter strides to the ball with actions on approach, arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Young actions in the dirt, deliberate tempo throughout, similar arm action on throws across. Also pitched, methodical delivery on the bump and works to a side arm slot, creating big angle on pitches. Will occasionally go higher with release point, fastball topped out at 72 mph, creates some life to the pitch and showed big shape on the curveball up to 60 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing. Swings it with intent, full swing path through the zone and handles the barrel well at present. Balanced approach and mechanical operation, steady line drive contact back up the middle with flashes of lift. Excellent student.
