2025 PG Lone Star Showcase
Justin Garcia is a 2028 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Veterans Memorial. Lean athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Works from a slow and well controlled delivery with a short in line stride down the mound, creates nice downhill angle from a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with lots of strikes, was able to work to both sides of the plate effectively. Curveball was a good pitch with sharp 1/7 break and good depth, lands the curveball well and will throw it at any count with confidence. Flashed a promising change up with some sinking life, killed the spin well. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Worked out in both the outfield and at first base, showed step by step actions at both positions, makes plays cleanly and makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a balanced stance with a short leg raise timer, rock back load into his swing, stays short and direct to the ball with a line drive swing plane, gap to gap contact. Good student. Named to the PG Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
