Grant Gladden is a 2021 2B/SS with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Ellicott City, MD who attends Wilde Lake. Recorded a 7.16 second sixty-yard dash time. Smaller, lean frame with plenty of room to fill out and add strength. Primary infielder with a developing defensive skill set, quick short steps into the fielding process and arm strength recorded up to 75 miles per hour across the diamond. Uses lateral quickness to range to either side fairly well while using segmented fielding actions and glove work to field out in front properly. Left-handed hitter that hits from a fairly open stance, using a high back elbow and hover trigger to get to launch. Middle-of-the field approach with a quick, direct swing path that produces consistent bat-to-ball skills and some impact when on time. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a very athletic and rhythmic delivery. Works from a high three-quarters arm slot, running his fastball up to 74 miles per hour and flashing some arm-side run to it. Strike thrower with developing command and two distinct secondary offerings at present. A slower curveball that varies in shape that can be refined as he matures and a well-replicated knuckleball that flashes some movement and depth to it. Will continue to improve with overall refinement of skill set and added strength. Good Student.
