Malaki Edwards is a 2022 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 220 lb. frame from Flint, MI who attends Flushing. Recorded a 7.18 second sixty yard dash time. Large frame with a thick and sturdy build and obvious strength present. Primary outfielder, fields it out front and comes through it well. Has a medium arm circle and a loose arm action overall, has a bit of a passive approach. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a long and offline arm action, comes from a three-quarters slot and shows the ball behind his back. Did a good job of mixing speeds and locations to keep hitters off balance. Has a solid knuckle ball with late action that he can throw for strikes. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and slightly open stance, utilizes a high hand and back elbow set and a hover leg lift trigger. Has definite bat speed and hand quickness, shows a short swing with a downhill path. Creates good separation in the swing and has barrel control. Made consistent hard contact on the ground, will improve power potential as he elevates the ball more. Has the strength and bat speed to really improve moving forward. Great student.
