Connor Chapa is a 2027 C/2B/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Legendary Prep Academy. Features a medium sized build with some present strength. Ran a 7.57 60-yd dash. On the mound, worked exclusively from the stretch. Showed a slower drop/drive operation. Used a longer AA with a slight stab that hides it a bit in the back and works up to a higher 3/4 slot. Creates decent length down the mound and lands open. Worked the FB up to 79, living upper 70s where it flashed some natural carry. Mixed in a mid 60s CH that had some depth and accidental cut at times. as well as a mid 60s 11- breaker. Inconsistent command throughout his outing. Behind the plate, showed athletic catch/throw actions. Works out the crouch quick and gains a ton of ground. Compact exchange but avg. quickness to release as arm shows slight longer take back up before release. Flashes of above avg. arm strength for his level with mostly accurate throws to the bag. At the plate operates from similar stances from both sides sitting more narrow/open. Creates some coil into launch. Path works more short-to-long from both sides. Quality violent intent to each hack showing some quality bat speed for his level. Worked the middle of the field with his approach and at times showed good extension through contact.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
