Hawk Licari is a 2027 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-7 129 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Cactus Shadows. Features a wiry build with room to add strength. Primary lefthanded pitcher. Utilizes a clean, repeatable delivery down the mound. Throws from an overhead arm slot. Hides the ball well throughout medium arm swing. Displayed a quality two-pitch mix. The fastball sat 70 -73 mph with quality armside run. Has the ability to throw the pitch for strikes consistently. Gets ahead of hitters frequently. Works the offering to the outer half of the plate consistently. Paired the heater with a solid curveball at 64-66 mph. The offering showed 11-5 action with a decent amount of bite. It is tough for hitters to pick up the pitch out of the hand. The ability to mix the two pitches kept hitters guessing. Has a good feel for pitching for the age. Should only get better as the profile matures. Also worked out at first base. Charged ground balls hard throughout defensive drills. Soft hands caught the ball consistently. Still refining the ability to maintain momentum into throws. Was accurate with throws across the diamond. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a toe tap load that transfers weight well onto the backside. Flashed solid bat speed on a slight uppercut path. A quality approach stays through the middle of the field often. Adding more strength to the frame would allow balls to be driven with more authority. Ran an 8.36 60-yard dash. Named to the 13u/14u Spring Southwest Showcase.
