Luca Miller is a 2028 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-5 120 lb. frame from Deforest, WI who attends De Forest. Slender young build with lots of time to physically mature and get stronger. Ran a 8.37 60-yd dash. In the OF, displayed aggressive and fundamental actions. Moved with intent where he carried momentum to and through reception. Fields it off the front foot and clean with a good transfer. Showed a longer arm action that got off over the top downhill throws to the bag with avg. strength for his level. At the plate, showed a compact stroke. Sits in a taller stance and hands get the barrel into a slight tip at launch with a higher elbow. Smaller lift trigger. Showed some decent quickness to the hands. Barrel works short to it on a slight uphill path. Approach worked through the middle of the field producing quality LDs. On-barrel the majority of the round. Balanced throughout. Avg. bat speed and impact. Swings translated into live ABs with a couple barrels. On the mound, showed more tall/fall type mechanics. Side steps into a higher chest knee lift. Longer/full arm action to a normal 3/4 slot. Repeats well. FB worked up to 70, living upper 60s. Mixed 4S/2S with the fastball where he leaked it to the armside. Mixed in a developing low 60s loose spun slurvy breaking ball he showed he could land for strikes. Also flashed a mid 60s changeup that had fading action to it.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
