Karson Kettles is a 2028 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Swainsboro, GA who attends David Emanuel Academy. Young, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout. ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, glove plays well out front, double tap into release, shows some lateral range in actions, repeats slot and shows accuracy on throws with some present carry. Compact stroke on throws from the outfield, direct footwork and gets the glove out front, accurate throws. Also pitched, full wind up starting on the first base side of the rubber, up-tempo operation and works to a high three-quarters release point. Can implement additional lower half into drive, fastball topped out at 74 mph, flashed a breaker up to 64 mph, gets inconsistent with release at times. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box; subtle weight shift through hips at start, can utilizes additional lower half moving into contact. Handsy swing, does a nice job of staying short and direct to the baseball from launch, occasional uphill path but shows comfort working to the middle of the field.
