Jack Wheeler is a 2025 3B/RHP with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Morris, IL, who attends Morris Community. A projectable frame and build with some length throughout. It's a lean and athletic frame with a taller build. Ran a 6.71 60-yard dash. He's a two-way standout who impressed on both sides of the ball. During infield workouts, he showed a clean glove and quickness through release with strength across. There was some physicality that showed, and he was able to throw 94 mph across the diamond. A right-handed hitter with a wide base and tucked hands. He had even feet with a lower handset. He used the physicality well during BP and was able to show good bat speed and juice. There was upside for power with EVs in the upper-90s. He took to the mound, working as a right-handed pitcher. He was pushy down the slope with some deception to the operation. He hides it well and works from a three-quarters arm slot. There was some quickness to the arm and pace to his move down the mound. The fastball was 88-92 mph, with spin up to 2,045 RPMs. He showed a changeup up to 81 mph with a spin down into the 1,600s. Also showed a slider in the upper-70s that had low spin but short depth. He had confidence in the pitch and could locate it to keep hitters guessing. Plenty of upside all across the board. Three-sport athlete, Good student. Committed to Illinois.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
