Hunter Heaton is a 2029 SS/RHP, C with a 5-0 88 lb. frame from Huntsville, TX who attends Anderson-Shiro. Features an extra-small frame with a lean build that has plenty of room/time to add size and strength. At SS, he shows early feel for the position with his quality footwork and glovework. Exhibited light feet that were able to work through the baseball. Glove worked down early and fielded everyball clean, showing noticeable confidence to the backhand side. Used a shorter arm action on throws where there was some effort in the action where he one-hopped a couple. Behind the plate, he showed avg. catch/throw ability for his level. Stands taller at reception and walks into his footwork working into the RH batter’s box at times. Decent exchange with an arm that is still developing. At the plate, he sits in a narrow/relaxed stance. Creates some rhythm, rocking back early into his back hip with a simple forward move. Gets the barrel into a godd launch and swings it on a direct path. Swing is balanced and produced several quality barrels throughout his BP round. On the mound, he works exclusively from the stretch. Uses a mid chest knee lift and gets into some good backleg/hip engagement. Works in-line with a smaller stride and decent block. Arm works into a shorter/compact arm circle in the back and up to a normal ¾ slot. His fastball worked into the low 60s and mixed in a low 50s developing bigger breaker.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
