Jack Drake is a 2030 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Tomball. Medium build with plenty of room and time to get stronger. Right handed hitter, sets up in a narrow base with a low back elbow load, slightly open, has a short and direct swing with developing bat speed, mostly middle of the field line drive contact. 7.81 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, plays with lots of energy and quick feet, still developing his feel for routes and rounding the ball, has a quick release on his throws with some developing arm strength. Also worked out in the outfield with the same energy and developing fundamentals. Took a turn on the mound, hands stay high, throws from a mid-3/4's arm slot with a cross fire release out front, arm is quick and his delivery has good rhythm. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, gets it to the glove side well with some late life. Threw a slurvy slider as his breaking ball, also located it well glove side. Flashed a lively change up that showed promise.
