JH Campbell is a 2023 MIF/RHP/C with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Spartanburg, SC who attends Spartanburg. Medium, athletic build with some lean muscle present throughout his frame, more strength remaining to be added. 7.84-second runner during the sixty. Primary middle-infielder, put together a clean round during defensive workouts. Fields out in front with deliberate actions. Continuing to develop arm strength which will come as he puts adds more muscle to frame. Accurate across the diamond, showed ability to play multiple infield spots. Showcased himself well behind the plate, high set up and gains ground toward his target. Clean glove-to-hand exchange with accurate throws to second bag, recording a best pop time of 2.25-seconds. Also took some defensive reps in the outfield, once again showing his versatility. Accurate throws to the bases, and flashed some carry as he carried his momentum through the process, up to 73 mph from the outfield. Right-handed pitcher, worked from a full wind up that is easily repeatable. Slight side rocker step, leading into an above-the-belt leg lift. Could tap into his lower half more getting down the slope. Showcased his full repertoire while on the mound, coming from an over-the-top arm slot. Fastball worked in the low-70s, topping out at 74 mph. Curveball showed some vertical depth when he stayed on top of it. Threw his change-up on a few occasions, plays off fastball well with some late tumble through the zone. Excellent student.
