Archer Ellis is a 2028 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Cape Coral, FL who attends Island Coast. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.45 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, works through the backhand, young footwork and will continue to refine, fields it out front with two hands, showed ability to drop slot when needed on throws and possesses quickness to arm stroke. Graded out the best on the mound in this look, side step into a leg lift up past belt, short and compact arm action through the back with some whip at release. Fastball topped out at 77 mph with running life, comes out of hand well and filled up the strike zone. Curveball showed depth with 11-5 shape up to 62 mph, able to land for strikes and played well off of fastball. Left-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Shows present quickness to hands, longer swing path through the zone. Occasionally gets to front side early but shows a handle for the barrel, works to all parts of the field with contact. Excellent student. Named to the 13u Main Event Top Prospect List.
