2025 PG Deep South High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Collin Crump is a 2027 C/RHP/2B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Homewood. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, sets up with his hands in front of his face, hanging leg raise trigger with a slightly open lower half, has quick hands and gets the barrel out front well, mostly pull side line drive contact. 7.11 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down, comes out of his crouch well, longer exchange that's far from his body and can be tightened up, throws from an over the top arm slot, has the physical tools to continue to develop. Also worked out in the infield with third base actions, fields the ball cleanly out front and gets some carry on his throws, tends to wait back on the ball. Took a turn on the mound, alternated between stretch and full wind up, throws from a high 3/4's arm slot. Threw mostly fastballs and had some running life and downhill angle to the plate, located the fastball well and generated weak contact. Flashed a slider and change up that both showed some promise with good arm speed and release. Very good student.
