Andrew Burgess is a 2023 1B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Clinton, MS who attends Jackson Academy. Extra-Large frame with a sturdy build, proving to have some strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.85 second sixty yard dash. Primary First Baseman, did a nice job of working through the baseball and is confident with the glove. Scooped it up and was quick with releases. Accurate to the bag while throwing it 70 mph. Young footwork showing but otherwise sound is his actions. Right-Handed Hitter, starting from an open, balanced stance with low hands. Strength in hands generating bat whip through the zone. Linear swing path and proved to have some pop in the bat when he got extended. Outstanding Student.
