Griffin Cales is a 2026 LHP/1B with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Bridgeland. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Works from the stretch from the third base side of the rubber, high leg raise with good direction down the mound and a mid 3/4's arm slot, gets coiled and hides the ball well, clean delivery and arm action with some deception. Fastball sat in the upper 70's with some arm side life, plenty more velocity there if he can get stronger. Change up was a nice pitch for him with arm speed and fading life. Curveball flashed depth with some 1/7 shape. Solid three-pitch mix and plenty of strikes. Good student.
