Russ Martin is a 2025 RHP/OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Rose Bud, AR who attends Rose Bud. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Right-handed pitcher, worked exclusively out of the stretch throughout, higher hand break into a take back by ear; lots of arm speed coming through and ball jumps out of hand cleanly from a three-quarter slot. Sat consistently in the upper-80s and topped out at 90 mph with some riding life up in the zone; able to locate to both sides of the plate with intent, firm through the zone and mostly true in life. Slider is a difference maker, able to locate with intent and got to back foot effectively up to 80 mph with spins in the 2700s. Late, hard biting life and short, plays very well off of fastball, collected whiffs throughout. Mixed a slider at 82 mph. Very good student. Verbal commitment to Arkansas.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
