Alex Morales is a 2025 SS/RHP with a 5-6 140 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Summer Creek. Smaller young build. 7.67 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has quick feet and good athleticism, quick twitch actions, hands works well at the ball and are quick and snatchy, smooth gather and transfer, has some flair to his game, surprising arm strength for his build and makes accurate throws, next level defensive tools. Right handed hitter, starts his swing with a big leg raise trigger, gets the foot down on time and has some weight transfer, has quick hands and a short swing, squares the ball up with pull to mid field line drive contact. Took a turn on the mound, has a slow paced delivery from the first base side of the rubber, medium length arm action leading to a high 3/4's arm slot, uses his lower half well getting down the mound. Fastball comes out of his hand well, topped out at 86 mph with some arm side running life. Keep his arm speed well on his cuveball and creates plenty of downer spin and depth, threw both his pitches for strikes. Excellent student.
