Dane Perry is a 2025 RHP/C/3B/SS/OF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Friendswood, TX who attends Friendswood. Solid athlete showing a young medium build with plenty of physical development ahead. He showed great versatility in the field with sound actions in all positions and posted a 8.18 in the 60 yard dash. Primary pitcher, the right hander showed an athletic delivery using a medium leg lift with a hitch at the top and active hands. Does a very good job getting extended to the plate for his size and working down hill with some force. Arm action has some life to it looking loose and quick releasing at a high 3/4 arm slot. He topped his fastball up to 77 mph with good run and filled up the zone keeping his defense behind him. His breaking ball has the right idea showing 11/5 shape with late break, does not hide it much yet with the loose arm and will drop his slot but it works well for this level and will improve as he sculpts his mechanics. In the outfield he displayed sound footwork that covers good ground and a clean glove. Very athletic looking natural to the position flashing one of the better arms as well. At catcher there are some young tendencies but the arm action translates very well, showing both quickness and accuracy on the bag. Started each rep in a staggered stance and lost some touch receiving but the tools and awareness are there if he chooses to advance his skills behind the plate. In the infield, he has a very confident glove and attacks the ball. Not much of a surprise, but he has great feel here showing the right footwork and playing down hill with a strong arm that gets rid of the ball quickly. The present glove skills and strong arm project well with added strength and size. Right handed hitter, starts in an open stance using a short weight shift into contact. Theres some lift to the swing path, he sinks into the backside and works uphill to connect. Hands and arms are tight, he can get locked up at times but is strong enough to make it up work. Fits the part and the swing looks good through the zone, has some upside to unlock if he fills in some young gaps.
