Parker Ferrell is a 2022 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Lake Creek. Medium athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, No stride approach at the plate, rocks back and in to engage his lower half, simple short high contact swing, hits the ball to all fields. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Has athletic actions in the outfield on defense, moves through the ball well with good footwork, gets rid of the ball quickly. Showed the same type of athleticism at first base defensively. Took a turn on the mound, has smooth mechanics and a high 3/4's arm action, inconsistent with his arm timing and tends to rush from the stretch. Fastball worked in the upper 70's, mostly straight, flashed the ability to get on top of his curveball and create good downer spin when he was on time, did a good job of landing his change up for strikes. Key to his development is simply getting stronger as the actions are there. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
