Jace McPherson is a 2027 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Cy Woods. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Strong runner, posted a 7.11 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes shorter steps on the approach, fields the ball to side with some bend at the waist, lower slot on throws but shows accuracy to the intended base, speed allows ground to be covered quickly. Also pitched, worked exclusively out of the stretch, directional towards the plate with lower half mechanics; worked exclusively off of the fastball, mostly true in life but shows nice arm speed through the backside. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even stance in the box, lower hand set with some pre-pitch hand movement; hands stay tight in swing, short path through the zone. Creates contact to all fields, best when working on a linear path and creates line drive carry to all parts of the field, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into swing mechanics.
