Matthew D'Amato is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Queen Creek, AZ who attends Desert Ridge. Ran a 7.37 60 yard dash. Quality arm on the mound with an athletic build. Loose arm action with a 3/4 arm slot and has aggressive torque in the delivery. Whippy arm action and generates good extension. Works downhill with a dominant fastball. The pitch was up to 87 and shows good feel for a breaking ball. His curveball sat around 73 and the pitch was sharp with late bite. Pitches with authority. Quick arm in the outfield and is accurate to all bases. Even base while in the box, moves his hands down pre-pitch before he starts the swing. Has some bat speed and has a downward bat path. Able to use the whole field well.
