2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Colton Bolsch is a 2025 2B/RHP, 3B, SS with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands. Features a smaller build with room to develop. Ran a 7.77 60-yard dash. Showed the ability to make plays throughout infield workouts. Caught the ball clean. Solid approach with the ability to get around the ball. Keeping feet moving throughout defensive action is key. Arm strength should come as frame fills out. Utilizes an upright stance with feet shoulder width apart. Small leg lift helps shift weight on backside well. Pullside approach. Keeps hands tight throughout swings. Has some feel for the barrel. Can create loft with bat path and extension out front. Adding strength will create more impact at contact. Also thew on the mound. Right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a tall and fall delivery with low effort down the mound. Uses a long arm with a slight pause at the bottom of the arm swing. Comes out of high 3/4 slot. Repeats delivery well. The fastball sat 65-71 mph. Threw it for strikes often. Paired with a curveball in the upper-50’s. Both offerings generated weak contact. Young arm overall with time to continue to develop.
