Jacob Williams is a 2028 OF/LHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from East Kingston, NH who attends Austin Preparatory. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 4.87 40-yard dash. Primary outfielder, quick feet on the approach and maintains energy through the ball, works into a longer arm action, fields the ball off to side and works into a three-quarters release with whip, present arm strength and carry with accuracy to the intended base. Also pitched, leg lift up to waist, lands on line coming down the mound with a medium length arm action working to a mid three-quarters slot. Clean operation, fastball topped out at 80 mph with sinking action through the zone. Big feel for changeup at present and turns over with comfort and conviction at 73 mph, able to miss bats consistently with the offer and flashed a slider up to 70 mph with developing feel and short horizontal shape. Left-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; remains short with swing path through the zone given size but generates separation and extension out front. Ball jumps off of the barrel when squared and on time, handsy swing and can continue to implement additional lower half; projects well with added strength. Excellent student. Named to the New England Indoor Top Prospect List.
