Van Mayhall IV is a 2024 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Catholic. Long and lean high waisted build, lots of room to fill in and get stronger. Tall and fall delivery on the mound, can get into his hips and lower half better down the mound, full extended arm action with a high 3/4's arm slot, doesn't get over his front side at times, arm works well out front when he does. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, plenty more there with more strength and some adjustments, also threw a 70 mph slider that had some spin and tightness when he was out front with it. 7.27 runner in the sixty. Left handed hitter, hits from a tall and relaxed stance, swings hard with a pull oriented swing and some extension out front. Outstanding student.
