Luke Jordan is a 2024 MIF/RHP/3B with a 5-8 135 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Jesuit College Prep. Luke is an emerging talent with a sound build and twitchy actions that will absolutely allow for his already fundamentally sound game to reach the next level. He is unquestionably ready for the mental and physical intensity of HS ball. In addition to his sound tools on the ball field, Luke is a recognized, exemplary student. He ran a 7.70 60 yard dash. A primary MIF, Luke shows an steady approach to his defensive game. He is energetic and has obviously quick feet. He positions well and plays through the fielding action routinely. His 72 mph velocity allows his throws to hold plane across the diamond. His throws are accurate. On the mound, Luke shows promise. Although his arm strength doesn't allow for max velocity just yet, his arm action dictates that velo will come. He uses a short and compact arm stroke and really works down the hill well. His easy and uncomplicated operation allows for consistency in and with his mechanics.. He shows some tendency to fall off the mound to the glove side, but that really doesn't affect his ability to throw strikes. His 67-70 mph fastball holds its plane and is thrown to both sides of the plate with regularity. When Luke hits his growth spurt - and he will - his game will elevate to match his keen awareness and baseball IQ. He understands the game and his current ability. It is also quite apparent that he gets what he needs to do to grow his skill level. There is a bright future for this young player.
