2025 PG National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Presented by GEICO
Braxton Lovett is a 2028 C/RHP/MIF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Forsyth, GA who attends Mary Persons. Slender young build. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. Primary catcher on defense, works to get out with segmented actions and limited ground gained, below-belt exchange at times with a slower release, throws can get some arc but showed accuracy, posted a 2.18 pop time with 68 mph arm strength. Took infield reps with a corner look, tends to wait back on hops but shows a clean glove and made accurate throws, 72 mph across the infield. On the mound, side step into a straight up/down lift with a deliberate tempo, on-line direction and a soft finish, normal 3/4 slot with a loose arm circle, fastball 71-73 mph, mixed a 61 mph breaking ball with a more 11-5 shape, strike throwing came and went early and settled in some as the outing progressed. Left-handed hitter with an even base and a simple stroke, tight hands with a slightly open look, worked balls to all fields with contact focus, impact will come as strength and barrel control continue to improve. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
