Neil Raju is a 2027 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Bridgeland. Lean and athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Primary RHP with a smooth and in control delivery. Coiled front leg and turns back causing some deception in the delivery. Works inline well and gets downhill. Throws from a mid 3/4 slot from the full arm swing with a quick arm. Fastball worked up to 84 with late ASR and got in on hitters quick. Developing feel for his slider that showed good spin traits and projects to be a better pitch. Also played infield working up to 82 from across the diamond. Showed good range moving to his left and right with footwork. Really winds up into his throws but has good arm strength behind them. Right-handed hitter with an upright balanced base. Low elbow set. Uses a small stride into contact with a downhill bat path. Showed a good opposite field approach. Also ran a 7.43 sixty. Excellent student. Named to the National South Showcase Top Prospect List.
