Jake Carruthers is a 2027 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Hollywood,Fl, FL who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Projectable athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 6.54 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense who also has outfield tools/skills. Plays on his toes on the dirt, takes good angles and fields the back hand well, stays low through the ball, good arm strength and made accurate throws. Showed similar athleticism in the outfield, speed and arm both play well on the grass, gets on top of his throws well and carries his momentum. Right handed hitter, starts from a narrow and straight stance with an exaggerated leg raise trigger than can throw off his timing, has some bat speed and impact when he's timed up, mostly pull side contact with the ability to turn the barrel over, tools to improve at the plate with adjustments and additional strength. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
