Jaxon Collins is a 2027 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Nederland, TX who attends Nederland. Primary outfielder with a lean and athletic frame. Works through the ball well with a quick first step. Showed good fundamentals and actions out there. Was up to 78 from the outfield with low liner accurate throws. Arm strength should continue to develop. Also played infield moving to the ball well with good lateral range. Fields it cleanly with a gather and made throws with accuracy. Developing arm strength from the infield. Right-handed hitter with an even base. Uses a knee lift trigger for timing and rhythm. Gets good separation in the hands with his swing and uses the middle of the field well. Was on the barrel consistently from a shorter swing path with good bat speed. Can spray it all over the field with some impact. Good bat to ball ability and sound approach. Also pitched working up to 80 with his fastball. Throws from an abbreviated windup and repeats motions well. Fastball showed good life to it and was located. Mixed well with his off-speed showing both a slider and change. Change was 72 with good fade. Slider was 71 with short and tight shape. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
