Jake McKowen is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-5 170 lb. frame from Sacramento, CA who attends Del Campo. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lots of room to fill throughout moving forward. Right-handed pitcher, athletic operation on the mound and does a nice job of utilizing size to generate downhill plane through the zone; long and loose arm action through the backside. High spin to fastball with upwards of 21 inches of vertical spin, up to 94 mph and maintained velocity well, ball comes out of hand cleanly and showed ability and confidence to attack hitters up in the zone. Slider up to 82 mph, maintained arm speed with hard biting life to it; flashed a changeup at 85 mph with low spins. Verbal commitment to Oregon State.
