Liam English is a 2023 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Oak Mountain. Tall, strong, athletic build. Primary outfielder who ran a 7.03 second sixty-yard dash time. Displayed athleticism in outfield drills working through repetitions with one-hand gather creating clean lines to his target. Arm takes a short path to release from a over-top slot that produced throws at 76-mph. Also worked out in infield drills and featured first step quickness off the bag at first base with feel for the glove and accuracy and carry on throws at 76-mph. Sound foundation to fielding tools that remained consistent into game action. Left-handed hitter with slightly open stance and low hand setup in the box. Step to square starts swing with feel for the barrel and pull side approach. With extension out front, ability to create line drive result to the gaps seen in round with backspin generation for carry. Hit-ability present yet operation will continue to develop with further repetition. Excellent student.
