JW Harrington is a 2024 C/RHP, IF with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from McLean, VA who attends Mclean. Reorded a. 8.13 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a sturdy frame. Starts from a slightly staggered stance behind the plate. Employs a quick and clean transfer before using a longer arm action through the back. Showed a clean release and repeatable actions. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with open feet. Utilizes a short stroke and stays on an uphill path through the zone. Secondary right-handed pitcher and starts with a side step into the delivery. Uses a leg lift to his waist level with a short, compact arm action. Ran the fastball up to 76 mph and showed the ability to pitch to both sides of the plate. Spun and has feel for a depthy curveball with 12-6 shape. Also mixed in a changeup with some fade. Excellent student.
