Luke Garner is a 2030 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-2 95 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Lake Creek. Smaller young build with developing strength and coordination. Ran an 8.67 in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, shows good understanding of how to move and field, working with decent footwork and a compact release. Makes accurate throws up to 58 mph across the diamond and handles the routine play with composure. Arm strength is still developing, but he’s in the right positions and shows solid baseball instincts. In the outfield, tracks the ball well with proper routes and timing, showing reliable glove work and accurate throws to the target, though additional strength will help carry. At the plate, hits from a slightly open stance with quick hands and a shorter swing for his age. Shows a knack for line drives to the opposite field and some feel for timing through the zone. Young player with good fundamentals and plenty of room to add strength and power as he matures.
