2022 Jupiter Qualifier Workout Showcase
Jezrael Melendez is a 2024 C/3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Juncos, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Ran a 7.04 second sixty. Primary catcher with a medium build showing more room to add strength moving forward. Sits in a square stance rocking into the throws while gaining ground into the throws with a flip transfer from the glove to the hand. Throws from a taller position with average arm strength to the bases from a short arm action. Right-handed hitter, starts with an open base using a hanging leg lift to get back to even. Showed young feel for the timing but impacted the ball hard when on time with flashes of bat speed impacting the ball best to the pull side. Excellent student. Named to the 2022 Jupiter Qualifier Workout Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
