Jaret Nelson is a 2022 C/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Nixa, MO who attends Nixa. Large frame with strong, athletic build; ran extremely well for size with 6.74 second 60 yard dash. Hits from wide-based stance, lift and replace trigger, high hands and back elbow, strong hands, middle-field approach with bat speed and repeatable operation, impressive hitting tools with big power projection. Primary catcher, long stride out with good ground gained, longer takeback through arm stroke with some stiffness there, arm noticeably stronger than last showcase attended, has improved defensively, 1.95 fastest pop. Also took corner infield reps, turns well and shows athleticism in footwork, hands work well, up to 78 mph across. Good student, named to 2021 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
